Doc Egg Timer is an independent extension published by Jacks Apps. Timer records stay in your Chrome profile and file operations go directly to Google Drive. There is no Doc Egg Timer account, hosted timer database or Supabase connection. This website does not require a login or receive Google access tokens. The personal Apps Script edition has a separate policy supplied with its source files.
Information the extension handles
The extension handles your connected Google account identifier and email address, authorized file identifiers, names and types, expiry times, linked CSV and Sheet identifiers, and cleanup status or errors. These identify the right account and files and let the extension show, resume, cancel and perform the timers you request. Local processing is still data handling, even though these records are not sent to the developer.
File bytes chosen for upload pass through extension memory and are sent directly to Google. For linked CSV conversion, a CSV of up to 10 MB is read into memory and sent directly to Google to create a Sheet. Upload and CSV contents are not saved in timer records or sent to the developer or this website.
Local storage and security
Timer records are stored in your Chrome profile, not Chrome sync storage. Temporary selection and upload-session information is held in session storage. File selections expire after thirty minutes; session data is cleared when the browser session ends. Extension storage access is restricted to trusted extension contexts.
Communication with Google uses HTTPS. Protect access to your device and Chrome profile: local storage does not prevent someone with control of your device from accessing data. Timers have no cloud backup or cross-device recovery.
Google authorization
Chrome manages Google OAuth access tokens. The extension does not store Google passwords, OAuth client secrets or refresh tokens in its timer database. It requests the limited drive.file permission for files it creates or that you explicitly authorize. Existing files may require Google's selection and consent step. Neither file contents nor authorization tokens are sent to our website.
When cleanup runs
Cleanup requires this Chrome profile and extension running, online and authorized. If Chrome is closed, the device sleeps or access is unavailable, due files remain in Drive until a later check succeeds. Expiry is not a guarantee of exact-time cleanup. The extension moves files to Trash, never permanently deletes them.
Retention and your controls
Timer records, including completed and cancelled timers, remain until you clear extension data, disconnect or uninstall. Cancel timer stops future cleanup for that timer. Disconnect and stop local timers clears local timer records and cached sign-in. Uninstalling also stops cleanup. These actions do not restore or delete Drive files. You can separately revoke permission in your Google account's third-party connections settings.
Website and support
Cloudflare Pages hosts this website and may process normal web-request information such as IP addresses for delivery and security. We have not added advertising or behavioral analytics. Support email is forwarded through Cloudflare to the developer's Gmail inbox. Messages you choose to send are not local-only and are used to respond to your request; ask us to delete them when no longer needed, subject to applicable legal obligations.
Limited Use of Google and Chrome data
Doc Egg Timer's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Doc Egg Timer's use and transfer of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Data is used only for the file and timer features you request, their security, and support you initiate. It is not sold or used for advertising, unrelated profiling, creditworthiness or lending. The developer does not receive or read your Drive files through the extension. Data goes to Google to carry out your requested operations, not to an unrelated data broker.
