These terms explain how to use Doc Egg Timer, an independent Chrome extension published by Jacks Apps. Please read them together with our privacy policy before using the extension. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Your files and your choices
Use the extension only with Google accounts and files you are authorized to manage. You keep ownership of your files. Creating or confirming a timer authorizes the extension to rename the selected file and move it, and any explicitly linked copy, to Google Drive Trash when cleanup runs after expiry. Check the file and duration before confirming. Choosing Never for an upload creates no auto-delete timer.
Cleanup is not an exact-time guarantee
Cleanup needs the same Chrome profile running, online and authorized. If Chrome is closed, your computer sleeps, your connection fails or Google denies access, a file can remain in Drive beyond its expiry. Cleanup waits for a later successful check. Do not rely on this extension for confidential-data destruction, legal retention deadlines or guaranteed deletion.
Trash, cancellation and recovery
The extension moves files to Trash; it does not permanently delete them. You can restore files while Google retains them in Trash. Google controls its own Trash retention and deletion rules. Cancelling a timer stops its future cleanup but does not restore files already trashed. Keep separate copies of anything important.
Local timer records
Timers belong to one Chrome profile. They have no cloud backup or cross-device sync. Disconnecting, uninstalling, clearing extension data or deleting the profile removes timer records and stops their cleanup. We cannot recover cleared records. These actions do not by themselves restore or delete your Drive files.
Google and other services
You must also follow the terms that apply to your Google account and Google Drive. Google may change its services, permissions or availability. Doc Egg Timer is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Google.
Changes and support
Updates may change the extension or these terms. Material changes will be explained through an appropriate user-facing notice, such as release notes or an extension notice. This page shows its revision date. No paid subscription is introduced by these terms.
Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that apply to you under law. For questions or problems, email [email protected]. Do not send passwords, access tokens or private file contents.
